Real work experience + lots of variety
Looking for a 12-month placement as part of a sandwich degree course? Our work placements are ideal. You’ll gain a wide range of commercial experience across different business areas. Working alongside experienced colleagues, contributing to client projects, and broadening your knowledge and skills. You’ll have a buddy you can always turn to for support and advice. Show us you have the qualities we’re looking for, and we may even offer you a place on our ACA graduate apprenticeship programme, too.
Commercial knowledge + real development
Work experience at Bishop Fleming is a great way to complement your university studies. Over 12 months, you’ll build your knowledge of our firm, our culture and our clients. Starting in our audit team, you’ll work on a variety of real projects. You’ll be contributing to the team, gaining experience with a variety of commercial clients, and starting to expand your knowledge.
Then you’ll develop your skills further with the opportunity to work with other business areas, such as tax and business services. You’ll find a culture that values your contribution, where your opinions count, and where you’re supported and encouraged to reach your full potential.
Business experience + recognised qualifications
Your learning starts from day one and it never stops. With opportunities to learn and shine on real client projects. The chance to work alongside experienced professionals. There’ll be plenty of scope to demonstrate your skills. Which means you’ll constantly be building your knowledge and experience.
At the end of your placement, if you’ve shown the qualities and aptitude we look for. And if you think that you’d like to take your career further with us. We’ll offer you a place on our three-year graduate apprenticeship programme. Where you’ll gain the equivalent of a Masters degree and a professional ACA qualification.

Your wellbeing is top of our priorities. You’ll find plenty of support, if you need it. From your buddy to our learning and development team. We also have dedicated mental health first aiders in every office. You’ll always find someone to talk to.
Whichever office you’re based in, you’ll always have a strong support network around you. And each office has its own social committee, too. There’s always something to get involved in.
What we're looking for
We’re not necessarily looking for maths or accountancy specialists. That might sound strange coming from an accountancy firm, but we’re more than accountants. We see ourselves as business advisers, and, more importantly, so do our clients. Bring us all this and you’ll enjoy a variety of commercial experiences. Complementing your degree studies and potentially launching your career.
Studying for a degree in any subject and expecting to gain at least a 2:2 (or equivalent).
A genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, business.
Good with numbers, but more importantly, good with people.
A commitment to always doing the right thing.
